My goal this year is to renew a close relationship with my relatives who live abroad. To connect with them, here are the steps I plan to take:
1. Plan bi-weekly video or voice calls for at least 30 mins (talk about how the day went, future plans, exciting news, etc.)
2. Send funny pictures or videos to maintain small talk
3. Talk about shared interests over chat (drawing w/ cousin, etc.)

Veena is from India, but currently she is a student living in Littleton, Colo. Her many passions include books, dance, and music. She is fluent in English, Marathi, and Hindi, and she is very proud to call herself a multilingual person.
