Talking to adults can feel like a whole different skill than talking to your friends!
The good news is that a lot of the same rules apply in both situations. With practice, your conversations with adults can feel a little more like your conversations with friends.
With some practice, conversations with adults can be just as easy as conversations with your friends.
Adults are really important sources of support, even if they sometimes don’t get it. Supportive adults can help you be the person who you want to be. Plus, having a parent or other trusted adult who you can ask for help or advice can make big, hard problems feel easier.
After all, adults are just people who have already gotten through being teens.
